Vocal Jazz Ensemble
Purple, White, and Blues, TCU’s vocal jazz ensemble, is a select auditioned ensemble. Performances are often with the university jazz band or with an instrumental combo in the BLUU Ballroom, BLUU Auditorium and other on-campus venues.
Rehearsals are from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The first round of auditions take place during the week before classes begin in the fall. Contact Dr. Stewart to schedule your audition time. The second round of auditions takes place during the first class at the start of the fall semester. Please prepare one solo in the jazz idiom for the first round. An excerpt of music will be provided for the second round.
