The Division of Woodwinds at TCU offers world-class instruction from nationally and internationally recognized faculty. You’ll receive personalized training and extensive performance opportunities in a supportive yet challenging environment.
Our graduates pursue careers as performers, educators, and industry professionals — joining symphony orchestras, military bands and arts organizations, as well as working as music producers, engineers, private studio owners and teachers.

Whether you’re pursuing undergraduate study, graduate-level training, or a specialized performance diploma, we offer a variety of woodwinds-focused programs:
Undergraduate Degrees
- Bachelor of Music in Wind and Percussion Performance
- Bachelor of Music Education with an instrumental concentration
- Bachelor of Arts in Music
Graduate Degrees
Specialized Program
Applicants must complete both the general TCU admission application and a separate School of Music application, which includes a required prescreening video. Selected candidates will be invited to audition on campus.
You’ll showcase your talent in ensembles and choirs like the Clarinet Choir, Double-Reed Ensembles, Flute Choir and Saxophone Ensembles. These opportunities allow you to refine your style, build confidence, and perform alongside classmates and internationally renowned guest artists.
