Bassoon Studio
The Bassoon Studio focuses on individualized instruction, with an emphasis on the fundamentals of tone production, articulation, technique and musical style.
The Bassoon Studio focuses on building a strong foundation in bassoon study, including etudes, standard repertoire, and orchestral excerpts.
Studio classes on reed making are held each semester, where students learn the step-by-step process from initial stages to finishing reeds for performance.
Students also participate in chamber music, ranging from bassoon quartets to woodwind quintets.
