Mariachi Sangre Royal

Mariachi Sangre Royal educates TCU and the surrounding communities about the art of mariachi, while enhancing members’ musical skills through this culturally rich genre.
Mariachi Meets TCU
TCU’s Mariachi Sangre Royal bridges tradition and academia, offering students a chance to thrive in mariachi while celebrating Mexican culture.
Originally a student group, the mariachi program has evolved into an official ensemble and course in the School of Music. Directed by Imelda Martinez and Ramon Nino, instructors of the nationally acclaimed Mariachi Espuelas de Plata at North Side High School, Mariachi Sangre Royal continues to thrive, performing at prestigious university events, concerts and mariachi competitions.
