Trombone Summit

The TCU Trombone Summit is a celebration of the instrument and an event dedicated to advancing trombone chamber music. At least one new work receives its world premiere at the summit each year.

2023 Trombone Summit

The TCU School of Music will host the 14th annual TCU Trombone Summit featuring guest artists Peter Steiner: Renown Trombone Soloist (Vienna, Austria), Constanze Hochwartner: Pianist (Vienna, Austria), Marcia Medrano: Professor at ESCUELA SUPERIOR DE MÚSICA INBA (Mexico), Dennis Bubert: Bass Trombone Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Tony Bianchetta: Dallas area trombone educator and performing artist and Dr. David Begnoche: Associate Professor of Trombone at TCU.

The Trombone Summit will present a recital by Peter Steiner and Constanze Hochwartner and conclude with a Summit concert featuring the TCU Trombone Choir and Summit guest artists, with works by TCU composers Till Meyn and Blaise Ferrandino.
