The TCU HornFest, established in 2009, is an annual spring event celebrating all things horn. The event features world-renowned horn pedagogues and performers, showcases the TCU Horn Ensemble, and fosters collaboration with local horn students, teachers and professional musicians.

2026 Festival

The TCU HornFest offers an exciting range of activities for horn players at every level, including: 

  • High School Horn Solo Competition: Participants receive detailed feedback from Professor Test and current TCU horn students.
  • Participant Showcase Concert: Horn ensembles of all ages can perform for a supportive audience.
  • Interactive Session with Guest Artist: Engage with world-class horn performers.
  • Beginner & Middle School Session: Expert teachers guide younger players in a special break-out session.
  • Exhibit Hall: Explore accessories, test-play new and used horns, and purchase sheet music.
  • Mass Horn Ensemble: Rehearse and perform alongside TCU faculty and the guest artist.
