Applicants will be notified if they advance to the audition round to perform on campus. All auditions must be completed by February 8. First-year undergraduates invited to audition will be considered for scholarships.

  • Piece(s) demonstrating ability on keyboard percussion (2 mallet, 4 mallet, or both)
  • Piece(s) demonstrating ability on snare drum (concert, rudimental, or both)
  • Piece(s) demonstrating ability on timpani
  • Drum set styles demonstration (rock, jazz, Latin)

Applicants must present the following areas of percussion: 

  • A two-mallet keyboard percussion piece
  • A four-mallet keyboard percussion piece
  • A concert snare drum piece
  • A rudimental snare drum (or tenor) piece
  • A timpani piece
  • A drum set styles demonstration (rock, jazz, Latin) 

Due to the amount of repertoire required, selections should not be too long. Performing only one movement of a longer piece, or preparing cuts in a piece, is acceptable.
