Applicants will be notified if they advance to the audition round to perform on campus. Applicants invited to audition will be considered for scholarships and graduate assistantships.

Bassoon

  • The exposition of the Mozart Bassoon Concerto.
  • One solo from the French repertoire.
  • One contrasting work could be unaccompanied, or two standard orchestral excerpts.
  • The length of the live audition is 15 minutes.

Clarinet

  • A minimum of three contrasting solos from the standard repertoire.
  • Four standard orchestral excerpts.
  • Mozart Clarinet Concerto, movement one and two.
  • Two standard works or movements of a standard sonata or concerto.
  • Solo clarinet work written after 1900.
  • Four standard orchestral excerpts.

  • A minimum three contrasting solos from the standard repertoire
  • Four standard orchestral excerpts
  • Mozart Concerto in G or D, movements 1 and 2.
  • Standard solo from the French repertoire.
  • 1 movement from a contrasting sonata.
  • Solo flute work written after 1900.
  • Four standard orchestral excerpts.

  • Three contrasting solos from the standard repertoire.
    • The live audition will consist of a 30-minute recital featuring these selections
  • For jazz ensemble consideration, prepare two to three tunes to showcase jazz improvisation and style.
