Choral Conducting Studio
The Choral Conducting Studio provides graduate students with a comprehensive experience in all areas of choral music.
In the Choral Conducting Studio, you’ll receive practical conducting experience with ensembles like the TCU Concert Chorale and TCU Frog Corps, along with additional performance opportunities. The program also offers personalized instruction through individual lessons with the Director of Choral Activities, applied study with Voice Division faculty, and comprehensive training in vocal pedagogy, musicology and music theory.
Master of Music in Choral Conducting
- 32-hour program with comprehensive focus on choral conducting, including:
- Lead two recital performances as part of the program requirements
- Proficiency in piano for open score and choral accompaniments
- Facility in foreign language diction for choral music, including German, French, Italian and Latin
- Contracted teaching experience is preferred for applicants
