The John Large Vocal Arts Laboratory enriches studio instruction with scientific tools, helping students master the art of singing while understanding vocal physiology and acoustics. Using specialized equipment and software, students analyze pitch control, harmonic partials, vocal timbre, and linguistic accuracy.

TCU is among a select group of institutions integrating this technology into vocal training, including:

  • Belmont University
  • Oberlin Conservatory
  • University of Texas at Austin
  • Westminster Choir College
  • Vanderbilt Voice Center
