TCU Horn Studio

The TCU Horn Studio is a dynamic group of young musicians who are pursuing careers and opportunities in music as performers, educators, composers, arrangers, and arts entrepreneurs. Students receive personalized attention from faculty mentors as they are guided in their education.

The TCU Horn Ensemble meets monthly on Wednesdays at noon to rehearse for upcoming performances and to experience the many benefits chamber music has to offer. The ensemble performs unique repertoire that ranges from classical to contemporary arrangements and original compositions.

The TCU Horn Ensemble has performed at the Texas Music Educators Association convention in San Antonio, Texas in the Exhibitor’s Showcase series, the Kimbell Art Museum, the TCU Chancellor’s Scholarship Award Dinner, the annual Horns for the Holidays Concert and has been a featured ensemble at the TCU HornFest for 11 years. The ensemble has also toured the North Texas area several times, performing short, engaging concerts for high school students. Email h.test@tcu.edu to inquire about a visit to your high school!

HornFest

TCU Horn Studio Lead OnHornFest is an annual event including concerts, coaching and masterclasses. The event features well-known artists investing in students and a high school horn solo competition.
