Fort Worth Contemporary Arts Gallery Has a New Home

The TCU art scene is beginning an exciting new chapter. The Fort Worth Contemporary Arts Gallery (FWCA) has relocated to the first floor of Molly Reid Hall, presenting fresh opportunities for expanded exhibitions, innovative programming and enhanced community engagement. This move is at the center of a revitalized Berry Street, which is one of the key initiatives of the Campus Master Plan.

Suki John, professor in the School for Classical & Contemporary Dance (SCCDance), presented her choreodrama “Sh’ma: A Story of Survival” across Europe this summer, with screenings in Hungary, France, Poland and the Netherlands.

A New Chapter Begins: TCU Celebrates the Baker Martin Creative Commons

The place on campus that unites the Fine Arts Building, the Megan and Victor Boschini Music Center and the J.M. Moudy Visual Arts and Communication Buildings is not only a beautiful green space, but also a vibrant intersection of creativity and collaboration, and it will now be known as the Baker Martin Creative Commons. Named for Louella Baker Martin and her late husband, Nicholas Martin, visionary supporters of the arts, a displayed plaque will commemorate the Martins’ generous support and enduring legacy rooted in faith, education and service.

The TCU Clarinet Ensemble was invited to perform at the prestigious ClarinetFest, held this year in Fort Worth. The international conference rotates annually, with last year’s event in Ireland, and next year’s scheduled for South Korea.

An interdisciplinary team of undergraduate students is making waves with a NASA-focused project aimed at designing flexible, low-profile seams to prevent hazardous lunar dust from entering spacesuits. Their innovative work earned the 2025 Best Innovation Award at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.
