The School of Music is bringing three Grammy Award–winning artists to campus for the 14th Biennial Latin American Music Festival, an extraordinary opportunity for students and the community alike.

The TCU Clarinet Ensemble was invited to perform at the prestigious ClarinetFest, held this year in Fort Worth. The international conference rotates annually, with last year’s event in Ireland, and next year’s scheduled for South Korea.

Professor Martin Blessinger, Associate Professor Stuart Cheney and Instructor II Gina Bombola of the TCU School of Music have been named 2024–2025 Gentling Fellows by the Amon Carter Museum of American Art. This prestigious fellowship supports scholarly and creative projects connected to the legacy of Fort Worth artists Stuart and Scott Gentling — brothers celebrated for their realist paintings of birds, landscapes and murals, including the iconic ceiling of Bass Performance Hall.

This summer, the eyes of the classical music world turn once again to Fort Worth for the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition — one of the most prestigious events in the global music scene. Held every four years, the Cliburn Competition showcases extraordinary young pianists, offering them a platform to launch international careers.

Corey Trahan, director of the opera studio and instructor II of voice, has been chosen to join the esteemed faculty at the Tokyo Opera Studio in Japan and the Trentino Music Festival in Italy this summer.

For 50 years, the TCU Music Preparatory Division has shaped the musical journeys of countless students, from young beginners to lifelong learners. What began in a small house on Princeton Street in 1975 has grown into a thriving program housed in Ed Landreth Hall, serving the Fort Worth community and beyond.
