Program Overview

Our program provides a well-rounded education that integrates TCU’s liberal arts core with a rigorous design curriculum. You’ll develop expertise in visual and technical skills, design theory and graphic design history.  

With strong connections to the thriving Dallas-Fort Worth design community — one of the largest in the world — you’ll gain a professional degree that prepares you to lead in the dynamic field of visual communication. Program highlights include:

Students are expected to have a personal laptop that meets the department’s computer policy to ensure success in studio and design courses.

Design Foundations & Qualifying Examination

To declare a BFA in Graphic Design, students must pass a Qualifying Examination after completing all six Design Foundations courses.
