TCU offers semester, summer and short-term study abroad opportunities, providing you the opportunity to study the language of design while gaining insight into business principles and communication. Several graduates in recent years have leveraged contacts made during these summer classes and studio visits into full-time jobs.

2025-26 Opportunities for Fall & Spring

The Florence program offers a range of disciplines, with a focus on Fine Arts and Liberal Arts, including Interior Design, Graphic Design, Art History, Fashion, and Studio Art. Students attend classes at Scuola Lorenzo de’ Medici (LdM), an international school in Florence, studying alongside peers from around the world. 

No prior knowledge of Italian is required to apply. 
 
Study Abroad Application

Every other year, students embark on a three-week trip in May to either New York City or London, diving into the business side of design with guidance from industry professionals.  

The program integrates classroom lectures with industry visits to top design firms and advertising agencies, including: 

  • Ogilvy Mather 
  • Nickelodeon 
  • Louise Fili & Associates 
  • Pentagram Design (in both New York and London) 
  • Sterling Brands
