Lori Christ

Lori Christ, a native of northeast Ohio, completed her Bachelor’s degree from Wells College, fulfilling requirements for concentrations in piano performance as well as music history and literature. During that time she also began teaching piano,and organized and participated in numerous concerts and performances throughout New York state. She pursued additional piano study with Walter Hautzig at the Hartt School of Music. Ms. Christ completed her Master’s degree in piano pedagogy from Texas Christian University while also holding an administrative position with the Youth Orchestra of Greater Fort Worth. She has been an instructor in the TCU Music Preparatory Division since 1985, Assistant Director of the program 1987-2012 and Director beginning in July 2012. Ms. Christ is active in music teacher organizations, including Fort Worth Music Teachers’ Association, chairing or serving on many committees and on the Board of Directors. She is a frequent adjudicator at area piano festivals and contests. Ms. Christ lives in Fort Worth with her husband and two sons.
