Dusty Crocker is the former Creative Director of Crocker Associates, inc., a DFW based Design, Marketing, and Public Relations firm focusing on healthcare and government. Clients included Hewlett Packard, HCA, Healthtrust, Continental Medical Systems, Baylor Healthcare, Presbyterian Healthcare, the City of Arlington, The Arlington Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, and many more. Crocker Associates won over one hundred international, national, and regional awards in advertising, public relations, and marketing from The American Advertising Federation (AAF), The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), The Society of Hospital Marketing and Public Relations and many more. In the early 2000s, Crocker pivoted to training and consulting services and conducted over 500 public and on-site workshops on design, software, communication, entrepreneurship, print production and more throughout the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK. Clients included Coca Cola, the US Army, the Social Security Administration, Sam’s Club, and numerous school districts and universities. A lifelong, avid fan and creator of humorous illustration, Crocker developed two comic strips for national trade journals, illustrated a dozen foreign language textbooks for Harcourt Brace, and published hundreds of spot drawings in national publications. His research interests focus on creativity, design thinking, and innovation as well as entrepreneurship. He continues an active design and illustration practice and has been recognized for his work in Graphis International Design Annual.
