The Working Body

Deborah Vogel has been active in the dance medicine field since 1978.  She co-founded the Center for Dance Medicine in NYC and continues to present workshops focused on injury prevention and care.  Her clients include professional dancers and athletes, actors, vocalists and musicians. Deborah’s articles can be found in Dance Teacher, Dance Spirit, and Pointe Magazines and currently writes an Ask Deb column for Dance Teacher Magazine. Deborah wrote Tune Up Your Turnout: A Dancer’s Guide, Essential Anatomy: A Multimedia Guide for Dance Teachers and has co-authored a 3-level guide for teaching functional anatomy in dance classes.  She is recently retired from Oberlin College and the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
