Tuba and Euphonium

Clay Garrett serves as Adjunct Faculty of Tuba and Euphonium at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX. Before joining the faculty at TCU, Clay held similar positions at Temple College, Texas A&M – Kingsville, and Texas A&M – Central Texas. Clay has earned degrees from The University of Texas at Austin (DMA), Baylor University (MM), and The University of Texas at Tyler (BM). He is principal tubist of the Victoria Symphony Orchestra and regularly performs with the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra, the Waco Symphony Orchestra, and the East Texas Symphony Orchestra. As a soloist, Clay has performed throughout the United States and abroad, and has been a prizewinner, finalist, and semi-finalist at such competitions as the International Markneukirchen competition in Germany, the Lieksa Brass Week competition in Finland, the Leonard Falcone Artist Division competition in the United States (MI), and the Concert Artist’s Guild competition in the United States (NYC).
