A Strategic Vision
- New TCU Music Center
- Fine Arts Building opened fall 2019
As part of TCU’s Vision in Action strategic plan, the Board of Trustees approved two new buildings for the College of Fine Arts:
- an iconic new School of Music facility, including the Van Cliburn Concert Hall at TCU and rehearsal spaces to support our growing ensembles, and
- an innovative multi-purpose Fine Arts Building to house the departments of Fashion Merchandising and Design, which is now open.
This new physical environment is designed to inspire and enrich our students and transform the east side of campus just as the creation of the Campus Commons has transformed the west side of campus.

These new facilities connect the Mary Couts Burnett Library, the J.M. Moudy Visual Arts and Communication Building and Rees-Jones Hall to develop a Creative Commons where students can enjoy green spaces and common areas to congregate and collaborate.
