About
Manuel Muñoz is a passionate pianist and music educator with a lifelong dedication to his
craft. His journey began in Popayán, Colombia, where he initiated his musical exploration at
age four, which further developed at the conservatory.
His diverse academic background includes a BBM in Marketing and International Business,
an MBA in Finance, Several studies in Computer Science and a degree in Piano
Performance with Honors Cum Laude.
Under the tutelage of notable mentors like Russian pedagogue Olga Tchijova and Czech
Professor Vaclav Pacl Manuel Muñoz honed his skills for more than seven years. He received
honors awards seven times throughout his career. Additionally, he had the privilege of
studying a special course with the distinguished Cuban pianist Jorge Luis Prats, further
enriching his musical education.
Throughout his musical journey, Manuel Muñoz consistently received a warm and
enthusiastic reception from the audiences, performing all over Colombia and international
festivals throughout his student life. He has also collaborated with the professional Band and
Youth Symphony Orchestra of the city of Cali, as well as winning the Conservatory Soloist
Competition three times.
Manuel Muñoz was awarded a scholarship to pursue a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy
at Texas Christian University under the esteemed guidance of Professor Harold Martina. He
also has the honor of sharing his knowledge by teaching several Piano Group Classes, PLP
programs, and mentoring Prep students at TCU.
His journey continues as he aspires to inspire future generations of musicians through
the transformative power of music.
