The Department of Theatre provides peer student organizations designed to help you enhance your skills and build connections with industry professionals. These organizations are open to all students, regardless of major, unless otherwise noted. 

Alpha Psi Omega

Alpha Psi Omega ais a nationally recognized theatre honor society that promotes excellence in theatre arts through leadership, service and performance opportunities. Our chapter fosters a close-knit community of students dedicated to enhancing the creative and educational experience in the TCU Theatre Department.

Company Reps

The Company Representative acts as a confidential liaison between the cast/crew and the creative team, providing a safe channel for voicing concerns without fear of repercussions. Selected by the company, the representative ensures that any issues raised are communicated to the creative team, fostering a positive and transparent working environment.

Student Season Selection Committee

The Student Season Selection Committee, composed of two elected representatives from each class, reads plays and musical librettos to gather and share class perspectives. These insights are then presented to the faculty committee to help inform the final season selection.

Theatre TCU Black Excellence 

Theatre TCU Black Excellence is a student-run organization dedicated to providing a safe space for educating and showcasing prolific works written for and about the historical impact and experience of Black artists.

United States Institute for Theatre Technology at Theatre

The student chapter of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology is dedicated to fostering professional development and technical excellence in the performing arts. Through workshops, networking opportunities, and hands-on experiences, theatre majors gain valuable skills and industry connections within the field of theatre technology.
