Welcome to the Department of Theatre at TCU!

I am thrilled to welcome you to a place known for dynamic training, exceptional artistic productions, intentional faculty mentorship and successful alumni outcomes. Here, you will receive high-quality theatre training within an enriching liberal arts education and a strong, supportive community.

TCU offers unique access to the vibrant professional theatre community throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where many of our students gain professional experience before they graduate. These opportunities provide valuable real-world experience while helping students build relationships and networks for their future careers.

Our faculty are accomplished educators and active theatre professionals working as directors, designers, actors, choreographers, production managers, stage managers and more. They bring current professional practices directly into the classroom and rehearsal room. We also collaborate with local professional theatres and regularly welcome industry professionals to campus for master classes, workshops and other opportunities.

As an educator, administrator and professional stage director with more than 20 years of experience, I am honored to serve as chair of TCU's Department of Theatre. I am passionate about creating an environment where emerging artists are challenged, supported and inspired to discover their unique voices.
