Caroline Fischer ’21 won two silver medals at the National ADDY Awards student competition for her package designs for mock brands Radiant Sunscreen and Sidewinder Western Accessories. The ADDYs are considered to be the advertising industry’s largest and most representative awards competition. Her medals represent the first time a TCU student has won at the national level of the ADDYs.

TCU MUSIC CENTER UPDATE
Unforeseen supply chain delays related to the pandemic have slowed final completion of the VCCH at TCU inside the TCU Music Center. We hope to host performances in the concert hall in spring 2022. Please watch this newsletter for updates.
Notably, the TCU Music Center has already had a significant impact on hundreds of talented students, faculty and staff who have contributed to the success of TCU’s nationally known School of Music.
- The 5,000 square-foot band rehearsal hall provides ample room for social distancing, which allowed concert ensembles to record performances to share with audiences online throughout last year.
- The band rehearsal hall — the largest “classroom” on campus — is large enough to permit the entire 200-plus-member Horned Frog Marching Band to practice inside together for the first time ever.
- Also for the first time ever, the members of the TCU Percussion Studio have a dedicated space for rehearsals and practice.
- The Ann Koonsman Orchestra Rehearsal Hall is the first dedicated rehearsal space in the TCU Symphony Orchestra’s 100-plus-year history at TCU.
- Six general purpose practice rooms and other study spaces accommodate the growing number of talented music students at TCU.
