TCU Twirlers Compete at the 2023 International Baton Twirling Championships

TCU Twirlers KK Tunnell and Stephanie McBurnett will represent the United States at the prestigious 2023 International Baton Twirling Championships in Liverpool, England.

Two TCU Twirlers were chosen to represent the United States at the prestigious 2023 International Baton Twirling Championships in Liverpool, England.

Stephanie McBurnett, a senior finance and accounting major, and KK Tunnell, a senior kinesiology major, are both competitive baton twirlers outside of their roles as twirlers with the TCU Marching Band.

McBurnett performed her artistic twirl at the Nations Cup as well as Artistic Group with Forte Dance and Twirl out of Atlanta at the World Championships. She also twirls with the Mickey’s Majorettes out of The Woodlands, Texas.

Tunnell twirls with Texas Touch of Class out of Dallas. She competed her solo and her X-Strut at Nations Cup.

McBurnett returned from the International Baton Twirling Championships, where she and her team, Forte, placed fifth in the world. These young women qualified for Team USA in 2022 at the National Championship competition in Stockton, California. Forte is proud to be the 2022 and 2023 Artistic Group National Champions.
