Charlotte Hachman ’25, a business entrepreneurship major with a minor in studio art, spearheaded this semester’s ceramic mug sale, raising an impressive $1,380 to benefit the Tarrant Area Food Bank.
Every dollar raised provides access to five nutritious meals, helping deliver 6,900 meals to families in the Fort Worth community this holiday season
“17 students contributed mugs they made for the sale,” shared Professor Chris Powell. “The students’ hard work makes a difference.”
Hachman’s inspiration for the charity sale stemmed from a personal project over the summer, where she independently hosted a ceramic sale and enjoyed it so much that she saw the potential for a larger collaborative effort. As part of a guided study with Powell and with the support of her peers, Hachman collaborated with the ceramics and advanced ceramics classes to turn her idea into a meaningful success.
“I’m thrilled about the sale’s success and was truly blown away by the incredible support from both staff and students,” said Hachman. “It’s so rewarding to know we were able to make such a meaningful impact on people’s lives, especially during the holiday season.”
