Award-Winning Architect to Speak at TCU

TCU’s Department of Interior Design and Fashion Merchandising will be hosting a lecture Nov. 1 from Mónica Ponce de León, dean of the School of Architecture at Princeton University and award-winning architect.

Ponce de León is the 2016 Cecil H. and Ida Green Honors Chair and winner of numerous design awards, including the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum National Design Award in Architecture. She is the principal of Mónica Ponce de León Studio. Her work is known for its innovative use of digital technology, tempered by a sensitive attention to materiality and space. Most recently, Ponce de León was the co-curator of the U.S. Pavilion at the 2016 Architectural Biennale, The Architectural Imagination.
