A prescreening video is required of all applicants consisting of the repertoire listed below. All applicants applying for a music major and/or scholarship must audition for the applied faculty. - a 1-3 minute recording of a solo with or without accompaniment
Audition Repertoire
- Two solos from the standard repertoire that demonstrates technical and lyrical ability. Could also be two contrasting movements from the same solo.
- All Major scales and chromatic scale for the range of the instrument.
- We request that candidates not perform any all-state etudes from the current or previous academic year.
- Sightreading
- Pianist not required.
- Length of audition is 10-15 minutes
