Mr. Burchill is a jazz guitarist who maintains an active career playing in many different music venues in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area. These venues include playing in jazz groups, the Fort Worth Symphony, and playing on studio recording projects. He earned his Masters degree in Music from the University of North Texas. He is an active clinician and adjudicator.

Mr. Burchill has played with jazz artists such as Marvin Stamm, Clark Terry and Billy Hart. He has also played in concert with such varied artists as Bernadette Peters, the King Singers, and Lucianno Pavarotti.
His jazz bands have performed at the International Association of Jazz Educator’s Conferences, the UNC Jazz Festival, and the Wichita Jazz Festival (where they won the competition two years in a row).

Mr. Burchill’s students have gone on to perform with such artists as: Wynton Marsalis, Ellis Masalis, Roy Hartgrove, Frank Foster, Betty Carter, the Lincoln Center Jazz Band, and nationally known gospel and rock groups such as God’s Property, Kirk Franklin and Erica Badu.
