Directed Studies in Costume Design & Construction

A native Texan, Heather graduated from Texas Christian University where she received her BA in Theatre / Radio, TV, Film with a minor in Fashion Design. She began her costuming career at Texas Ballet Theatre where she continued to create special pieces for the company throughout the years. Heather received further training at Costume Symposiums sponsored by USITT. She was a Draper/Cutter, Stitcher and Designer for numerous theatre companies, including Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Denver Theatre Center, FW Opera and Theatre TCU. As a member of the Local 803 Wardrobe Union she stitched and dressed National Broadway Tours. Heather has taught Practical Costuming and instructed individual students in the Art of Costuming for Theatre TCU. She is happy to share her passion for the performing arts with TCU’s SCCDance as Dance Costume Shop Supervisor.
