Department of Design student Irene Nacif recently attended “Eleva by Mindot,” a dynamic three-day summit in New York City. The event is dedicated to empowering the next generation of Latinx leaders, offering students invaluable learning and networking opportunities with some of the industry’s most influential minds.
Throughout the summit, Nacif attended diverse panel discussions and workshops and collaborated with students from across the globe. She also had the opportunity to meet renowned business and design leaders from Google, Deloitte, Design Studio, J.P. Morgan and Nasdaq.
During her visit at Design Studio, Nacif gained valuable insights into the company’s cutting-edge marketing strategies and creative processes. The company’s leaders provided a comprehensive overview of their portfolio, research methodologies and design procedures, offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpse into their daily operations.
The company then challenged participants to craft a brand statement, define personality traits and create a mood board that would serve as the cornerstone for their design initiatives.
“This immersive experience provided a deep understanding of Design Studio’s approach to design and marketing, leaving a lasting impression on my creative perspective,” said Nacif.
