Trumpet Studio

Welcome to the TCU Trumpet Studio page. Through weekly studio teaching, trumpet studio class and presentations by world renown guest artists, every student has an opportunity to develop their skills in trumpet performance, education and pedagogy.

Members of the TCU Trumpet studio have a wide range of performance opportunities to advance their musical development. Ensembles include the TCU Bands, Jazz Ensemble, Orchestra, TCU Trumpet Ensemble and Brass Chamber ensembles.

Past guest artists include: Paul Merkelo, Keith Johnson, Alan Hood, Mary Bowden, Carol Morgan, Ryan Anthony, Anthony Plog, Pacho Flores, Stanley Friedman, Ivano Ascari, Gaudete Brass Quintet, St Louis Brass Quintet, Kevin Cobb, Eric Berlin, Vince DiMartino.

 

TCU Trumpet Ensemble

The Trumpet Ensemble is an important part of the TCU Trumpet Studio. Programs include a wide variety of musical styles from different historical periods, composed or arranged for various groups of trumpets. The TCU Trumpet Ensemble performs regularly on campus as well as performances at the TMEA Convention, and six different International Trumpet Guild Conferences.
