We are proud that our students and alumni continually excel on the world’s biggest concert stages, academic classrooms, and everywhere else the modern musician calls home. We help aspiring music professionals achieve their dreams by offering our more than 350 music majors an unrivaled educational setting at TCU’s picturesque campus. The TCU School of Music’s nearly 100 faculty and staff are experts in their field and travel the world performing, conducting, lecturing, and teaching; to bring the highest professional standards to our students. We offer many exciting and challenging degree options, including bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees and a vibrant artist diploma program.

We are incredibly proud to occupy the stunning TCU Music Center, which opened in Spring 2022 and houses the Van Cliburn Concert Hall, rehearsal spaces for ensembles- both large and small, faculty teaching studios, student practice suites, and ample instrument storage. If you have yet to experience this stunning performance venue, please plan to attend one of the many events housed in TCU’s monument to modern music, Cliburn Hall. I promise you will love what you hear.

TCU is located in the heart of historic Fort Worth, Texas, the nation’s twelfth-largest city and part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the world. We are proud to partner with several of Fort Worth’s finest musical organizations, including The Cliburn Competition, which hosts part of its competitions at TCU; The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra; and The Fort Worth Opera.

Our students leave TCU ready to achieve their dreams. We encourage you to find out why If Music is Your Passion, TCU is Your School. I suggest you visit The TCU School of Music; it’s a great time to be a Musical Horned Frog.

Sincerely,

Dr. Marc Reed
Director of the TCU School of Music
