Scholarship & Aid

Many students receive financial assistance, either through a single scholarship or a combination of awards. Students are encouraged to begin working with TCU’s Financial Aid office as soon as they are admitted to SCCD and TCU.
Nordan Young Artist Awards
Open to entering first-year students of superior talent in dance with 12 or fewer
semester hours of academic credit. Selection is based on an audition as part of the
application process.
Students who satisfy the criteria for renewal will be designated Nordan Scholars and
receive a merit-based award annually for the remainder of their undergraduate program
(renewable for up to three years).
Talent-Based Merit Scholarships
The SCCD offers several endowed scholarships from generous individuals and organizations
to attract and support talented students. These talent-based scholarships can be combined
with other forms of financial aid.
Awards are generally renewable for up to eight semesters or until graduation, depending
on specific renewal requirements.
Additionally, dance merit awards or admission offers may be granted at select college
audition festivals and conferences, such as the National High School Dance Festival
and New York City Dance Alliance.
