Student Organizations
The School for Classical & Contemporary Dance provides peer student organizations designed to help you enhance your skills and build connections with industry professionals. These organizations are open to all students, regardless of major, unless otherwise noted.
Chi Tau Epsilon
Founded in 1967 at TCU, this honor society welcomes BFA students specializing in ballet
and/or modern dance who actively promote dance in both the TCU community and the Dallas-Fort
Worth Metroplex. The Alpha Chapter maintains a longstanding partnership with the AIDS
Outreach Center of Fort Worth and Tarrant County (AOC), organizing an annual benefit
concert to support the AOC's initiatives.

SCCD Student Representatives
At the start of the academic year, each class within the school selects one representative
from among its majors. These representatives, known as “Reps,” serve as a direct channel
of communication between students and the SCCD Director. They meet several times per
semester, both as a group and individually, to brainstorm, report, strategize and
provide feedback for the continual growth and improvement of the program.
