THE NRF Student Program connects students with top industry leaders and helps kickstart their careers.

We are excited to announce that the Department of Fashion Merchandising has joined the National Retail Federation (NRF) Foundation Student Program, offering our students an exceptional opportunity to connect with industry leaders and launch their careers.

This four-day program in New York City allows juniors and seniors to engage with retail executives across diverse fields, including merchandising, marketing, sustainability and technology.

Thirty students will attend industry panels, small group discussions and a career fair where they can meet recruiters from leading brands.

“This year marks the beginning of an ongoing commitment to provide these opportunities to students, supporting their future in the global fashion and retail industry,” explained Department Chair Charles Freeman.

“The NRF Foundation Student Program is a remarkable platform where students will gain insights into the ever-evolving retail industry directly from experts,” said Freeman. “By participating, students will have opportunities to engage in meaningful discussions about the trends and challenges shaping retail today.”

In addition to learning from experts, students can network with peers from other universities, broadening their perspectives and fostering collaboration. This program offers invaluable experiences to help our students stand out in the competitive job market and prepare them for leadership roles in the fashion and retail industries.
