Green Honors Chair Valerie Steele, Ph.D

Join the Department of Fashion Merchandising in hosting its Green Honors Chair Valerie Steele, Ph.D., director and chief curator of the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology on March 23.

The Cecil H. and Ida Green Honors Chair program brings scholars and artists of national and international stature to campus for short residencies to promote new ideas and community collaboration.

Steele will present two Green Honors Chair events: “150 Years of Fashion” and “Fashion in the Museum.” Discover defining moments in fashion history and the international development of fashion exhibitions, from the Palace of Costume in 1900 to a wide array of contemporary fashion exhibits.
