The College of Fine Arts and the School of Music are proud to announce that the American Council on Education has awarded Jesús Castro-Balbi a 2018-19 ACE Fellowship.

The ACE Fellows Program is designed to strengthen institutions and leadership in American higher education by identifying and preparing faculty and staff for senior positions in college and university administration through its distinctive and intensive nominator-driven, cohort-based mentorship model.

“I am truly indebted to colleagues who inspired this journey. I plan to focus my Fellowship on innovation in academic affairs, and look forward to learning from people and institutions at the forefront of initiatives that make the academy more relevant, agile, and accessible,” said Castro-Balbi. “These are challenges at TCU and nationally, and hence opportunities to inform my contributions in teaching and service.”

Castro-Balbi, the first full-time cello professor at the TCU School of Music, is one of 45 university leaders selected this year for the fellowship. Read more at TCU This Week.
