The interdisciplinary project brought together students from fashion merchandising, interior design and architectural lighting design.
In a dazzling display of creativity and cross-disciplinary collaboration, the Department of Fashion Merchandising and the Department of Design joined forces to bring the spirit of cabaret to life for the College of Fine Arts Gala.
The biennial gala raises funds to support student opportunities such as master classes, national competitions and the Theatre Senior Showcase in New York City, among others.
Envisioned by Instructor of Fashion Merchandising Rima Shrestha, the interdisciplinary project brought together students from fashion merchandising, interior design and architectural lighting design, led by Instructor of Interior Design Tamara Rice and Associate Professor Alyssa Humphries Stewart. Together, they crafted an immersive window display that captures the glamour and theatricality of cabaret.
“I’m incredibly grateful to have collaborated with my amazing colleagues from interior design and lighting design on this visual display,” said Shrestha. “It’s been inspiring to see how fashion, interior design and lighting all work together as partners to create a captivating visual experience. This project truly showcases the power of interdisciplinary design!”
The installation showcases the innovative spirit of TCU’s College of Fine Arts and the dynamic partnerships that make it a hub for artistic exploration.
