Fashion Merchandising Alumna Named to D Magazine’s Dallas 500 List

Carolina Alvarez-Mathies ’10, a Fashion Merchandising alumna and the deputy director of the Dallas Contemporary, was recently named to D Magazine’s 2022 edition of the Dallas 500, a list of influential established and emerging leaders in the North Texas business community.

Alvarez-Mathies (center, in yellow) is featured prominently on the cover of the current issue of the annual Dallas 500 publication.

In an interview for the Dallas 500, Alvarez-Mathies spoke about her experience of becoming the deputy director of the Dallas Contemporary just months before the pandemic struck and how she helped the contemporary art museum pivot during a 10-month closure.
