The TCU Viola Visitor Day is scheduled for Sunday, October 19 from 11:30AM to 8:00PM.

VIOLA VISITORS DAY GENERAL SCHEDULE

11:30AM Walk in registrations (advance registrations are preferred); $20 per participant

12:30 – 1:20PM Viola Ensemble Readings directed by Dr. Owner (upper level players) and Ms. Douglas; “Viola Doctor” – get your technical or musical problem fixed in 10-15 minutes per person (individual meetings) – Dr. Galaganov [3 simultaneous activities]

1:30 – 2:20PM Lecture-presentation (subject TBA soon) by Ms. Talancon; All-State excerpts class (grades 9-10) by Ms. Sudweeks; All-State etudes class (grades 11-12) by Dr. Galaganov [3 simultaneous activities]

2:40 – 3:30PM All-State excerpts class (grade 11-12) by Ms. Sudweeks; All-States etudes class (grades 9-10) by Dr. Galaganov; lecture/presentation “How to prepare for Auditions” by Mr. Bowles and Mr. Burk [3 simultaneous activities]

3:40 – 4:30PM lecture/presentation by Ms. Warren (subject TBA soon); Ensemble readings directed by Dr. Owner and Ms. Gomez [4 simultaneous activities, including the Solo Master Class]

4:40 – 5:30PM Q & A session with presenters, lecturers, and ensemble directors (coordinated by Ms. Douglas) [2 simultaneous activities, including the Solo Master Class]

3:40 – 5:30PM Solo Viola Masterclass (Dr. Galaganov) – to take place simultaneously with other activities at 3:40 and at 4:40.

5:30PM pizza dinner

7:00PM Viola Friends Concert in Van Cliburn Concert Hall at TCU – attendance is free for all!
