About

Lindsay Bastian is a North Carolina native who is currently pursuing a DMA in Piano Pedagogy at Texas Christian University. Lindsay received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, both in Piano Performance, at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She received several music scholarships from BYU and was heavily involved with the BYU chapter of MTNA, serving for one year as the collegiate chapter president. While at BYU, Lindsay also performed with all five of the school’s prestigious auditioned choirs, both as a pianist and singer, including a tour with BYU Singers to Nevada and California and a performance at the national ACDA conference in 2019.

Lindsay has been teaching piano in various settings for thirteen years and has experience with both group and private lessons for students from ages 4-70, including six years at the Utah Piano Conservatory as Piano Academy Director and then Assistant Conservatory Director. She continues to be actively involved in MTNA and is currently serving as the historian for the TCU Collegiate Chapter. She loves helping others find a passion for excellence at the piano and focuses on developing the whole musician through a well-rounded curriculum. Lindsay loves all types of music and her current favorites include Gabriel Faure and Sara Bareilles. When she’s not practicing or teaching, her other interests include singing, baking, hiking, and cross-stitching.
