Music has always been a major part in Lauren’s life. As a little girl she was always singing, and began taking private voice lessons at Southwestern Adventist University at the age of thirteen. Lauren attended Texas Christian University from 2007-2011, and majored in Music Education with a Vocal Emphasis. While attending TCU, she was an assistant in the Music Together Program. She fell in love with the program, the music, and the families that attended the classes. She knew she wanted to come back and teach here eventually, and became certified as a Music Together Teacher in the summer of 2011. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from TCU, Lauren taught elementary music and choir at a public school in Texas for five years. She was named Teacher Of The Year for the 2014-2015 school year. With the birth of her daughter in 2016, she saw it as the perfect time to come back to the Music Together program at TCU. In 2017 she became a Level 1 Certified Music Together Teacher. She is very thankful for the opportunity to teach here in this wonderful program.
