About

Music has been a part of Courtney’s life from a very early age. She’s performed with various ensembles throughout her upbringing, including the L.D. Bell High School A Cappella choir and the mixed and women’s choirs at Oklahoma Baptist University while pursuing her education. Courtney holds a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies with concentrations in Speech and Hearing Sciences, Education, and English and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Texas. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist and certified EC-12 Special Education teacher in the state of Texas. Courtney currently provides online speech therapy services to students with a wide range of ages and abilities through a company called Presence Learning. She went through the Music Together Teacher Training (at TCU Music Prep) in 2015 after realizing the tremendous impact of music on young children while working as a school-based speech therapist. Courtney recently completed a Teacher Training refresher course in March of 2021 and April 2022. She has previously taught for tuneBugz! Music Together in the Austin, Texas area and has just relocated back to Ft. Worth to be closer to family in June 2022.
