Andrew Moenning is a pianist from central Florida. He began his studies at age 7 and is well versed in the classical and popular music tradition. In 2013, Andrew graduated summa cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts in Music from Stetson University in Deland, Florida where he studied with Steinway Artist Dr. Michael Rickman from the age of 13. While at Stetson, Andrew was awarded Freshman of the Year, placed in state and local competitions, was awarded the William E. Duckwitz talent scholarship in piano, and was inducted into the music honors society Pi Kappa Lambda. He also was a member of the Stetson music prep division of student teachers. In addition to his performances throughout Central Florida Andrew has performed multiple times at the Orfeo International Music Festival in Vipiteno, Italy.
After undergraduate study, Andrew toured the country in a pop band for two years, followed by a two-year contract as a pianist with a country band at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. In addition to being a performing artist in Orlando, Andrew also maintained a private teaching studio for students of all ages. He is currently in his second year of pursuing a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from TCU where he studies with Mr. John Owings. After TCU, Andrew plans to pursue his PhD in Musicology.
