Supports recruitment of prospective students, manages the music admission process, and coordinates on-campus audition days for all divisions within the School of Music.

Debbie Alenius has served as Coordinator of Music Admissions for the TCU School of Music since May 2017.

Ms. Alenius began working at TCU in the Band department where she served as administrative assistant from 2012-2017.  Before coming to TCU in 2012, she was actively involved in the Fort Worth community, serving as Vice President of the Crowley ISD Board of Trustees, President of the North Crowley High School Band Boosters, and on various campus and district committees and organizations.

In addition to her twenty plus years of extensive community involvement in Fort Worth and her hometown of Alamogordo, New Mexico where she assisted with a community built playground project in 1995, she worked as a product design specialist and marketing coordinator for a building technology distributor, Director of Children’s Ministry at McKinney Memorial Bible Church, an intern architect at Growald Architects, as well as an independent business owner.

She is married to Mark Alenius, whom she met at Texas A&M, are parents of Matt Alenius, an Information Systems major at UTA, and Rachel Alenius, ’16, ’18  and current Ph.D. student in the TCU Biology department. She and her husband have thoroughly embraced the role of TCU parents and are often seen attending a range of music ensemble performances and student recitals in addition to being regular spectators at Horned Frog sporting events across campus.
