Internships

Kodachrome; A co-production with Circle Theatre

At TCU, you’ll grow intellectually and personally, and you’ll also gain specific knowledge and skills for a career. You’ll learn by doing, stepping outside the classroom to turn your ideas into action. Internships are invaluable for helping determine which career path most interests you.

The Department of Theatre maintains close relationships with local theatres, connecting students with internships at Dallas-Fort Worth theatres, during the fall, spring and summer productions. Our students have worked as actors, production assistants, educators, front office and box office personnel, set designers, stage managers and assist production technicians at all of the local theatres listed below.

Every other year, we embark on a co-production with a professional theatre. These productions allow for you to work with Equity actors and outside directors. Some of our previous co-productions have been with Circle Theatre, Amphibian Stage Productions, Casa Mañana and Stage West.

We evaluate each opportunity to ensure academic value as it relates to a course of study. Beyond that, we encourage you to seek the opportunities that best match your interests and to choose how to best fulfill your internship requirements.
